Starting an application
Use your email address to start a job application. Make sure it is an email address you check often: You’ll receive automated notifications as your application moves through the review process.1

Building your profile
We will build out your profile as you apply for a job — so fill out all the fields completely, honestly, and accurately. This same profile can be used if you decide to apply for another position. You also can import your information from other career sites, such as LinkedIn.2

We review your application
Once you’ve submitted your application, a VITAS recruiter will review it to see if you are qualified and a good match for the position. If so, a recruiter will talk with you by phone to learn a little bit more about you. For certain jobs, you will be asked to take an online assessment.3

Interviewing with VITAS
After talking with a recruiter, and a possible online assessment, you may be invited to talk with the hiring manager responsible for the position. This could take place in person or via videoconference. Be sure to review our tips for interviewing at VITAS beforehand.4

Offer of employment
If you are selected for the position, you will receive an offer of employment. Initially, this is a verbal offer extended by the recruiter, hiring manager, or in some cases, a business manager. If you accept, you will be sent an offer letter electronically to accept or reject. Be sure to download a copy for your own records.5

Preemployment screenings
If you have accepted the offer letter, you will be required to complete some pre-employment screenings. These include drug screenings, background checks, and any other necessary reviews. You may be asked to supply documents as part of this process.6
